A couple weeks back we attended the National Restaurant Association (NRA) show in Chicago. This is the largest restaurant show in the US and is held every year at McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, IL. The show room floor is always huge with tons of companies exhibiting as well as tons of attendees eager to try out different foods and check out what’s happening in the restaurant industry.
During this show we switched things up for once and did not sample any our our Ceremonial Matcha and didn’t make any traditional style tea. Instead we focused our attention on promoting our new Matcha To Go product and we were making a Matcha ice tea. We even spruced up the ice tea by adding different flavors like mint or blueberry to mimic something a cafe or coffee shop could do if they had flavored syrups on hand. Along our Matcha ice tea we sampled a Matcha smoothie using our Matcha Zen Cafe Blend. However on the final day we decided to switch over to a iced Matcha latte that went over very well the attendees that stopped by our booth.
While in Chicago we also had a chance to stop by a local tea retail store by the name of Adagio Teas. They happen to be one of our customers and it was nice seeing them have our products displayed all over their store located on State Street. They also seem to put in a real effort to push Matcha as they have Matcha Mondays where Matcha drinks are half off in store.
